MOM
I was working on my 2 stage K to a K stuff when I found out that my mother had passed . I hopped on a plain here in LA and went back to Wi. where we put her to rest by my Father in Mondovi Wi my home . She was a young 87 and lived in my birth home . Now I have to slowly get used to not making my weekly phone call to her where we talking about our family , my hobbies and my work of witch she was so proud . I miss her as she is the one that got me started in rocketry when she got me a small rocket kit when I was a small boy. Now that I am back in Ca. life will have to go on but I will have a open spot in my life I will have to fill some how . I don't think I can ever fill it . Time will make it better my mom use to say but I don't think in this case that will work . I love you mom and I will put one up just for you so I can still touch your hand in the sky .

Xmas was a Blast
Hi all --- Vic , Sophia , and I hit the road and went to Wi. for Christmas . Dam that's a long drive . As I am getting older the drive I have been making for years seems to take twice as long. From Torrance ,Ca. to Mondovi , Wi now takes me 3 and 1/2 days . We did not hit any snow on our drive home but 10 min after we hit Mondovi it snowed . We had a white holidays.
All the family was happy to see us . My sisters 2 girls came from Milwaukee. It was great to see them and there kids.
NOW on to the good stuff as I am now getting ready for my retirement in 4 years I have been taking some of my rocket stuff home on each of my trips to put in my new 26'x46' rocket garage . I got a new wood heater and spent some quality time putting it in .
I am building a rocket body lathe that can take a 6' long by 12" round tube .
I unloaded all my rocket stuff and am now building racks for all my rockets so they will have a home .
Will the time was short at home but all in all I had so much fun . When we got back to Ca. my new rocket was all painted and Bart did a great job . Photos to come . Now all I need is the N2000 and a trip to Black Rock , Nevada for Balls . Well LATER

Now Have Some Fun
Well I am no longer ROCs Prez . At Rock Stock 28 the new board was voted in and now after 3 terms I can step back and look at what I want to do with my hobby . The club has been such a big part of me for the last 3 years and now it is time to look to all the projects that I told others I wanted to get done. I did get a 6'x11'6' all fiberglass rocket done . It is at my friend Bart's house right now as he is doing a paint job on her . We are trying a new auto paint to us that you can get off the shelf premixed . Bart is a absolutely awesome rocket builder . Some of his stuff should not fly but just be looked at . But that's no fun got to fly them . This rocket will be put up on a M1315 after a couple of K flights first. Vic and I also want to do some things not rocket related like concerts and just plain going out and do some camping in our Puck up Camper. Just go out and see stuff you know what I mean fun stuff . Later all

Fun in Arizona
Well I findlay made it to a G. Harry Stine launch over by Goodyear . Arizona last weekend . It was about a 6 hr drive from my home in Torrance Ca. . With great weather all the way and not a lot of traffic once I got out of the LA area . After getting my room a shower some sleep I got up the next morning to have breakfast with my friend Dave E who lives in Arizona . I met some of his rocketry friends and made the 1/2 hr drive out to the launch . SARA the club that puts on the launch has a miss fire ally system set up and it seamed to do just fine for them . I put up 5 rockets in the windless morning with not a clouds in the blue blue sky did I say there was no wind 0 , nada ,not one mph of wind yeee haaa . Some of my rocket friends from Ca. showed up one of them ( Jack G ) just happened to be a vendor for the launch . The Civil Air Patrol made great food like Ribs , Chicken , Pulled Pork , Hamburgers and Hot Dogs . Good stuff kept us all feed . My friend James put up an N4000 in a Patriot . Nice one James . I got one up to 5862 in a small rocket with a big motor . Not as good as James did but it was fun .Any way had a great time and got some good photos and I think I just might make my way back in the further

Kids Day
We had our first Roctober launch last Sat. and Sun. . ROC that is set up on Sat . morning . We were going to set up on Fri. but the evel W was just to hard to deal with so we just talked till we went to bed . Sat after the set up things got going with 2 to 5 mph W but launch we did . I put up a cluster with 3 H 125 only 2 light but she went just the same . That night I put up my first night rocket in 3 years . Dam I forgot how much fun it was . On Sunday with 0 W Greg H and I were going to have a Goblin drag race . We put them on the rails and would you know more starting showing up . We findly wound up with 11 Goblins . I put up a second 4" Goblin with a K2045 with my buddy Mikes help . I really thought the rocket would hold together . Wellll it went POOOFFFF at about 150ft and I think it was going about Mach.3 . Any way all the kids had fun and that is what we were there for . They launch all day . We had some were around 250 kids . I hope they had as much fun as I did . I at one time ha about 5 kids in my trailer showing them how put a motor in I think almost every rocket kit knowed to man . I went through 3 bags of dog barff . The kids just kept on launchung . They had soooo much fun I think I said that already well I can say it one more time . I know I am so up about the day my spelling my not be so good sorry. I have not had this much fun sence I got my L 1 . OOOOOO welll see you all later and keep on launching .

Just some stuff
I have added some new photos of my new rockets . Bag O Snakes at lift off and My Basket ball named 3 point shot that goes up on a full K . I also have a new 5" X 10 1/2' long all fiber glass Rocket that I am just getting ready to paint. I got a Polcat Hawk kit with a 98 mm motor tube about a year back . I like some of the kits out there but of coarse I always have to do some of my own stuff to them as we all do .
Some one stole some things out of my trailer at one of the launches that I was at so that set me back a bit . Just under $1,000.00 . They must have needed the stuff more than me .
The ROC club has been doing a lot we now have added a new launch for the kids groups in the area . We are calling it ROCtoberfest. The second Sat. and Sun. of October of coarse. Should be a lot of fun. We are talking about doing a NSL for NAR in the future .
I have been the ROC prez for 3 terms and I am now steeping down . I will still be involved with some of the club stuff but this will give me more time to fly do my L1-L2-and L3 certing as I am a L3CC and a TAP . I also want to hang out with all my rocketry friends a little more . My ROC BOD is a great bunch of people and will do just fine .
I want to go to other launchs that I have not had time to go to for one reason or another . Now I will be able to see some of throws big projects I have been hearing so much about and I am looking forward to seeing them .
I still have a lot of stuff on the drawind board to do .

Been so Bizzzzzy
Time has been zipping by so fast. I Findley have some time to get my page up to speed . My last entry was back in 8-15-07 man time flies . Did I say that all ready ?
A lot has been going on . My friend Andy Worner sold his rocket biz to another friend of mine Jack Garibaldi loc stock and barrel . Andy now runs a RC store in San De ago , Ca.
Jack still runs all the west cost launches just like Andy did. He has also added a lot of new stuff in his Mobile Rocket store. Jack is the TCC Prez and is a TAP and a L3CC . He has a lot on his plate and I really know how he feels some times but I don't own a store . I will not be complaining any time to soon . If you see him at a launch he still has a smile on his face .
Now back to ROC as the Prez and as a TAP and L3CC I have a lot to keeping me bizzy. Our club is quite a big one so I have a lot of cert. stuff going on .
We ROC that is may be looking for a new sopt to have our launch at as a power companey is trying to put up a solar farm on the Lacerrne dry lake bed out here in Cal. . Now don't get me wrong I know we need these farms but Cal. has so many other spots out there that are well desart . We have been in the same place for 18+ years and yes it's BLM land . I myself have been flying here over 8 years . If they make up there mind we will go and thats sad.
