Gotter Done
The film shoot at ROC went just great till the wind came up around 1.30 pm . On the first launch I used a K1200 #2 was a K 680 #3 was a K 650 and the last one was a K 675 skid mark . I used motor ejection set at 8 sec. and it worked great . We got all 4 shoots up in 2 hours. They were happy with what they got on film . I went home a happy man even tough I did not get the 3" up once.

MOM
I was working on my 2 stage K to a K stuff when I found out that my mother had passed . I hopped on a plain here in LA and went back to Wi. where we put her to rest by my Father in Mondovi Wi my home . She was a young 87 and lived in my birth home . Now I have to slowly get used to not making my weekly phone call to her where we talking about our family , my hobbies and my work of witch she was so proud . I miss her as she is the one that got me started in rocketry when she got me a small rocket kit when I was a small boy. Now that I am back in Ca. life will have to go on but I will have a open spot in my life I will have to fill some how . I don't think I can ever fill it . Time will make it better my mom use to say but I don't think in this case that will work . I love you mom and I will put one up just for you so I can still touch your hand in the sky .

Xmas was a Blast
Hi all --- Vic , Sophia , and I hit the road and went to Wi. for Christmas . Dam that's a long drive . As I am getting older the drive I have been making for years seems to take twice as long. From Torrance ,Ca. to Mondovi , Wi now takes me 3 and 1/2 days . We did not hit any snow on our drive home but 10 min after we hit Mondovi it snowed . We had a white holidays.
All the family was happy to see us . My sisters 2 girls came from Milwaukee. It was great to see them and there kids.
NOW on to the good stuff as I am now getting ready for my retirement in 4 years I have been taking some of my rocket stuff home on each of my trips to put in my new 26'x46' rocket garage . I got a new wood heater and spent some quality time putting it in .
I am building a rocket body lathe that can take a 6' long by 12" round tube .
I unloaded all my rocket stuff and am now building racks for all my rockets so they will have a home .
Will the time was short at home but all in all I had so much fun . When we got back to Ca. my new rocket was all painted and Bart did a great job . Photos to come . Now all I need is the N2000 and a trip to Black Rock , Nevada for Balls . Well LATER

Now Have Some Fun
Well I am no longer ROCs Prez . At Rock Stock 28 the new board was voted in and now after 3 terms I can step back and look at what I want to do with my hobby . The club has been such a big part of me for the last 3 years and now it is time to look to all the projects that I told others I wanted to get done. I did get a 6'x11'6' all fiberglass rocket done . It is at my friend Bart's house right now as he is doing a paint job on her . We are trying a new auto paint to us that you can get off the shelf premixed . Bart is a absolutely awesome rocket builder . Some of his stuff should not fly but just be looked at . But that's no fun got to fly them . This rocket will be put up on a M1315 after a couple of K flights first. Vic and I also want to do some things not rocket related like concerts and just plain going out and do some camping in our Puck up Camper. Just go out and see stuff you know what I mean fun stuff . Later all

Fun in Arizona
Well I findlay made it to a G. Harry Stine launch over by Goodyear . Arizona last weekend . It was about a 6 hr drive from my home in Torrance Ca. . With great weather all the way and not a lot of traffic once I got out of the LA area . After getting my room a shower some sleep I got up the next morning to have breakfast with my friend Dave E who lives in Arizona . I met some of his rocketry friends and made the 1/2 hr drive out to the launch . SARA the club that puts on the launch has a miss fire ally system set up and it seamed to do just fine for them . I put up 5 rockets in the windless morning with not a clouds in the blue blue sky did I say there was no wind 0 , nada ,not one mph of wind yeee haaa . Some of my rocket friends from Ca. showed up one of them ( Jack G ) just happened to be a vendor for the launch . The Civil Air Patrol made great food like Ribs , Chicken , Pulled Pork , Hamburgers and Hot Dogs . Good stuff kept us all feed . My friend James put up an N4000 in a Patriot . Nice one James . I got one up to 5862 in a small rocket with a big motor . Not as good as James did but it was fun .Any way had a great time and got some good photos and I think I just might make my way back in the further
